Today was the day quilt guild meeting and I finished putting the bindings on two quilts for the small projects charity just last night! They are "Fidget" quilts, made specifically for Alzheimers patients. The quilts are made with many different fabrics and trims, which allow for interesting textures to be touched and fiddled with. Some Alzheimer patients have restless hands and the quilt is small enough to be placed on their lap, so if they feel fidgety they will have something interesting to touch! I had heard the discription and had already started mine before I actually saw one, so mine turned out different from anyone else's at the guild, but I think it will be fine. I guess I always think of squares when I think of quilts, so I planned mine like a typical quilt, it is very busy overall, but it will give the receipients alot to fidget with! My heart goes out to all of the victims of the earthquake and Tsunami, this year has been such a tragic weather related year! Just hoping it's not as bad as it seems . . .
